Overview

Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu was founded durring the late 12th century in spring of the year 1081, by Thu. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu was built using the conventions of Undermountain durring the late 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu is buildings have been located at convienant points along the cliff Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the crampt gravel streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The city has a defencive wall made from large clay bricks. The wall is constructed to the exact specifications of millitary fortifications, but the nature of its clay brick construction leaves it vulnerable to even outdated siege equipment. That said, the city is well defended against anything short of an army. The brittle defences have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu’s streets. The city is very clearly a joyfull place as well as relaxing. Music can be heard often, as well as laughter. The smell of food and drink permiates the air. You can’t help but smile.

History

Almost every community has some problem with bandits and highwaymen, but Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu is seriously plagued with raiders. One or more groups of persistent plunderers are hitting the community repeatedly, and they lack the necessary resources to fend them off or protect all their holdings.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu lost 286 people, 141 livestock, and 69 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 106, when members of Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu's militia enacted an operation to extract assets from a bridge under siege by the enemy. The operation was complicated by one of the key objectives in the operation requiring sticking to a very strict and short time table. The conflict ended with the defense of the bridge against a siege, which ended in victory for Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Qÿhtvehb Ÿct Vuntyu's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
